Wastewater treatment plants are designed to treat wastewater from both residential and industrial premises. Domestic wast ewater requires grease separators and imhoff tanks, as well as secondary wastewater refining treatments based on the final discharge. Refinement treatments consist of percolating filters, activated sludge and phyto-purification. As far as the treatment of industrial waste water is concerned, the most widely used purifiers are de-oilers, first rain plants and quartzite and activated carbon filtration. These purifiers are usually installed in yards or parking areas near the activity.
